PLAN A VISIT

YOUR VISIT TO BELMONT ABBEY

Sometimes we need to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily living to more clearly discern the direction God is calling us in.

Belmont Abbey is situated on a 700-acre campus in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Our situation offers us some strong advantages for discernment:

  •      We are close enough to the conveniences of modern urban life for easy accessibility…
  •      Yet the sheer size of our campus buffers us from the distractions of ordinary life.

Find the peace you are looking for to hear that “still small voice” while wandering our beautifully wooded campus, praying in the St. Joseph Adoration Chapel, or sitting quietly in our Lourdes Grotto – a dedicated Pilgrimage Shrine.

If you are a man age 21 – 50 and are interested in discerning a vocation to our monastery, please give Fr. Elias a call at (704)-461-6689.

Or if you would simply like to stay here for a spiritual retreat, please contact our Guestmaster at (704)-461-6675.

We offer accommodations to our guests free of charge.

CONSIDERING BECOMING A MONK?

The abbey offers accommodations free of charge to Catholic men age 21 to 50 who are interested in learning more about monastic life. To make arrangements, please contact the Vocations Director

We offer group tours of the Abbey Basilica and monastery on weekdays. To schedule a tour please contact
(704)-461-6675

We do not have overnight accommodations for groups, but we have partnered with the Hampton Inn in Belmont, NC.

IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A PRIVATE RETREAT

We do not offer directed retreats, but do welcome individuals for two or three days for a private retreat. There is no charge for guests. If you wish to make a private retreat, please contact the Guesmaster at (704)-461-6675.

A SPIRITUAL RETREAT
